MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA LICENCES

WA Hard Enduro has affiliated with Motorcycling WA for our insurance needs, and this is going to make a huge difference for our community.

Whether you’ve been riding with us for years or you’re just getting started, we want to make sure you have all the information you need about this new process.

So keep reading because we’ve got some useful tips and insights to help you hit RiderNet with confidence.

WHO IS MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA?

For those that are new , Motorcycling Australia is the top dog when it comes to off-road racing insurance, and they’ve developed a framework to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely at our events. Motorcycling WA is a branch of the Motorcycling Australia crew and oversee our event operations.

If you’re planning to ride in any events sanctioned by MA/MWA, you’ll need to have a licence. Whether you’re riding purely for fun or competing to be the best, this licence is a must-have.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

We need to set you up with a RiderNet profile; you’ll then need to sign up for our club and complete the licensing process.

We have some important details to share before you sign up for our club membership.

  • Firstly, the whole setup process will take around an hour of your time, so set aside some time.

  • Secondly, you’ll need to have ambulance cover, and some government-issued ID like a birth certificate, passport or driver's licence handy.

  • Thirdly, you will require proof of rider competency – a road bike licence, a competency assessment by a coach or Level 2 Official, or a previously issued MA licence.

  • Lastly, if you’re going for a Senior National Competition Licence, you’ll need to take the Senior Theory test (don’t worry, there’s an entire guide full of all the info you’ll require to pass HERE).

  • One event licences will be available on the day but not for purchase online via RiderNet.
